Amber Sketches Alicia Keyes

The talents of Amber shines through in this sketch she did of Alicia Keyes.  That is Amber's sketch on the right.  Compared to the original (left), she captured the star rocker quite well and in her element.  Amber thanks her brother Marcus for a very helpful critique along the way.

Man of Steel Always on the Job

In the nick of time Superman Comic saves family's home.  A couple facing foreclosure found the collateral they needed with the discovery of Action Comics #1 in their basement.  The find occurred while they packing up the home for a bank foreclosure proceedings. The house had been in the family since the 1950's and is probably when the wife's father stashed the comic in a box.  The family will sell the comic for a whopping price and will save the day for their home.

Comic Brings Whopping Big Price Tag

1939 Batman comic sold for more than $1M.  Batman made his first appearance in the 1939 Detective Comics No.27.   The comic book sold at auction for a record price of $1,075,500
